At The Hospital Research Foundation Group – Parkinson’s, we are passionate about providing a healthy community and wellbeing for everyone. Maximising choice, independence, mental health and wellbeing for people impacted by Parkinson’s or other neurological and movement disorders through support, education, advocacy and research are at the heart of what we do.
You are not alone – we are in this together.
The Hospital Research Foundation Group – Parkinson’s supports people living with Parkinson’s from recently diagnosed through to advanced Parkinson’s, along with family, carers and health professionals.
What is Parkinson’s?
Parkinson’s can affect anyone – male or female and at any age, although it is more common in older people. The nature and severity of symptoms can vary considerably from one person to another. In the early stages of the disease, symptoms can be vague and non-specific such as constipation, loss of smell, fatigue or muscle pain.
We provide support to clients from the moment they are diagnosed and throughout the progression of the disease. The passionate team at Parkinson’s is committed to improving vital support services across South Australia and Northern Territory, including regional and remote areas and expanding research capabilities to help stop, slow, reverse and cure Parkinson’s.
