Metropolitan Adelaide Specialised Groups

Specialised groups include those listed below, and are designed to help make meaningful social connections, engage in important dialogue, explore useful education and resources and build long-lasting friendships..

Group Purpose
Deep Brain Stimulation A support and education group involving people who are contemplating having or have had Deep Brain Stimulation surgery.
Men’s Group A social meet up for men living with Parkinson’s and men who are caring for someone with Parkinson’s to have a coffee and share hobbies and interests.
Duodopa Monthly support group for those prescribed Duodopa therapy and their carers.
20s-50s group People that are aged in their 20s to 50s living with Parkinson’s and their family/carers get together for an intensive seminar on living well on a Saturday and for a couple of social dinners throughout the year.
Other movement disorder groups Atypical Parkinson’s (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), Cortico-Basal Degeneration (CBD), Lewy Body Dementia (LBD)
